Analyst

Internship Overview

The role is focused on analytic work. You will have to work with an extensive amount of data and subsequently process them. To succeed in this position requires working with academic sources. The purpose of this position is conducting our own research, which will be published at the end of the Create & Control 2020/2021. Your analytic work will be aimed at non-formal education, youth participation, European Youth Goals and EU youth strategy.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Analytic work and critical thinking are the most important requirements.

  • Translating documents into English language.

  • Processing extensive amounts of data.

  • Working on academic research in the field of sociology, psychology and political science.

  • Processing and analysing survey outcomes.

  • Analyzing current EU and national legislations in youth policies.

  • Working with academic resources.

Knowledge, expertise, skills, abilities

  • Working with MS Excel.

  • Time management.

  • Critical thinking.

  • Analytical skills.

  • Teamwork.

  • Understanding of youth policies on EU level.

A analyst is expected to

  • Adhere to the deadlines.

  • Be capable of working by themselves.

  • Work responsibly and effectively with the rest of the team.

  • Work on the academic outcomes in the area of Youth Work and Youth Policy.

  • Be open-minded and to have a positive and honest approach towards working and communicating.

Additional characteristics to be accepted

  • Experience with working on research and academic writing.

  • Experience with EU Strategy for Youth and with European Youth Goals.

  • Being a student of a university in the specialisation of political science, sociology, international relations, law, economy or similar fields.

Duration of the internship

This internship is 6 months long, with the possibility to lengthen it by another 6 or 12 months.

Additional information

The internship is suitable for passionate high-school students too. Although you can like this internship, it can be very time-demanding. Moreover, studying new-materials and processes in the field of analytic work takes a lot of time for people, who have never worked with this kind of job before and therefore we recommend you to evaluate your skills in the analytic field wisely.
